Advances in medicine are taking place at a staggering rate, and what was considered basic science only yesterday is now part of everyday clinical practice. To enrich medical student education beyond classroom lectures and ward and clinic clerkships, and to foster a closer relationship with faculty mentors, the College of Medicine sponsors a long-standing Medical Student Research Program (MSRP) and an innovative Curriculum on Medical Ignorance (CMI). Student research fellows gain familiarity with biologic horizons in both basic and clinical science, acquire a broad grasp of research skills, learn to communicate ideas better, refine clinical problem identification and solving, meet distinguished visiting physicians and scientists, and work closely with faculty and other students at various levels in diverse laboratory and patient care settings both at The University of Arizona and other institutions throughout the world.

Gain understanding of the shifting domains of ignorance, uncertainty, and the unknown: philosophical and psychological foundations and approaches to learning, questioning, and creating "knowledge"; history and development of selected ideas and methods in basic and clinical medical science; mastery by in-depth multi-dimensional exploration of selected timely medical topics.

Improve skills to recognize and deal productively with ignorance, uncertainty, and the unknown: questioning critically and creatively focusing on raising, listening to, analyzing, prioritizing, and answering questions from different points of view; communicating clearly in different media with various audiences; collaborating effectively with different people and other resources.

Reinforce positive attitudes and values of curiosity, optimism, humility, self-confidence, and skepticism.

We believe that great cities are not made. They’re built.

When people think of Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville, they think about building houses. And they should, since we began in 1985 we have built or renovated over 450 homes in Metro Louisville and Oldham County. But, while building is what we do, the reason we do it is to change lives. We build homes because they are essential building blocks for families and communities; especially when coupled with strong relationships and healthy neighborhoods. Read more

LaToya was already in a “get your act together” mode when her aunt told her about Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville. Her aunt, who had just qualified to enter the Habitat program, encouraged LaToya to go for her dream.

“It was a challenge for me to make the sweat equity hours because of my job, but the Habitat staff helped me out and were flexible,” explains LaToya. “Now my kids have a place to call home. We have great neighbors and my kids feel very safe.”

Once LaToya settled into her home, other aspects of her life began to blossom. At work, she moved up from a teller to her current position as an Assistant Branch Manager at a local bank. She also married and her family expanded with the addition of a stepson. Her family’s future just keeps getting brighter. nike usa air max 2016 mens

Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville has a proven track record of helping deserving families with a hand up, not a hand out. Today’s economic and housing crisis affects every corner of our community. There has never been a more crucial time for Habitat to create long term and sustainable housing solution for our families. But we can’t do this without you. Read more

There is more to Habitat than just building houses. We are always looking for people and their unique talents. Habitat construction volunteers build alongside families who demonstrate the need and willingness to partner with Habitat. Habitat offers a hand up, not a hand out to families who invest a modest down payment and 400 ‘sweat equity’ hours building their own and their neighbor’s houses. You can volunteer to work on a team and help to build a house truly from the ground up. Get your company involved and join us for a day of team building on a job site or in the construction center. Sprout is a transport protocol for interactive applications that desire high throughput and low delay.

In evaluations on traces from commercial LTE and 3G networks, Sprout achieved 2–4 times the throughput of Skype, Apple Facetime, and Google Hangout, while reducing self-inflicted delay by 7–9 times .

The page describes a Mininet port of our trace driven emulator, cellsim, used as part of a problem set in MIT's graduate networking class (6.829).

Cellular network traces were collected while driving in Boston, Mass., and surrounding municipalities. We simultaneously saturated the uplink and downlink of an Android smartphone tethered to a Linux laptop and measured the times when packets arrived across each link. Uplink datagrams were sent to a server at MIT, generally less than 50 ms RTT from the carrier's first/last hop.

The code for the saturatr can be found on GitHub.

The Verizon LTE and 1xEV-DO (3G) traces used a Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The ATT trace used a Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone. The T-Mobile trace used a Nexus S smartphone running Android Jelly Bean.
